LIVE Face and CrazyTalk Animator 3 do not, and will not use customer face data to personally identify any user. Reallusion will not store, or retain, any data captured by the TrueDepth camera on our servers, or use customer face data for any other purpose other than the app’s core functionality. Camera access is required to acquire depth data from Apple's API. The camera images and depth data are used only for determining the position of the facial features.
The LIVE Face app connects to CrazyTalk Animator 3 via WiFi, and synchronizes with the facial features of a 2D animatable character to create real-time animations. Just type in the IP address in the client site to enable the data feed. After launching LIVE FACE, users can WiFi connect desktop clients either through iPhone hotspots, or computers sharing the same WiFi source. For this to work, the app requires access to the user’s device camera. LIVE FACE is designed to stream the iPhone Xs facial tracking data to desktop clients. The LIVE Face app uses the iPhone X’s TrueDepth camera system to track the movement of a user’s facial expressions to present it inside another Reallusion application - CrazyTalk Animator 3 for character facial animation.
